Were do I start, from the get go communication was spot on, Luke was so helpful and helped us plan our road trip and sent us plenty of information to help us along the way.
With never being to western Oz before we was unsure of best places and were to go, Luke guided us by sending us plenty of information and planned road trips schedules which matched our time frame with being on the road.
Upon arrival in Oz and collection of the vehicle, the fleet vehicles are outstanding and are well suited for any road trip and any Terrain WA has to offer!
Coming back in a few weeks and will certainly be booking and using again!

We were able to take it on the beach in multiple places which we loved and camp in many spots that weren’t accessible to 2WD.

We had the most epic adventure from Perth, to Exmouth and Karijini. All 10 of us in two fully decked out Dmax utes, with absolutely everything we needed.
Luke was amazing and very generous with his time and knowledge. So many great nights sitting around campfires, and enjoying family time, it was sad to have to fly home.
We are already planning another trip in WA, but this time with Broome on the itinary.

Over the past 2 weeks we traveled with two teenagers from Perth to Shark Bay with 2 roof tents.
This was a fantastic trip for 10 days! Along the way we received many compliments from other travelers for the ingenious combination!
Nice tips from Luke for beautiful camping spots and nice not to travel too many kilometers per day so that we could enjoy the area!
We would love to come back for a longer trip! Highly recommended, especially for us as Dutch first time road trippers!

We travelled from Perth to Exmouth over 2 weeks and our experience was amazing!!!
Luke was extremely helpful in every way from start to end and even when we encountered some challenges with weather and road closures, he provided excellent advice and recommendations with really quick turnaround. We had the dual cab with 2 x rooftop tents and there are 5 of us. 2 adults and 3 kids.
We brought an extra ground tent (small dome) for our eldest child and the set up was perfect. Luke runs a fantastic business and we’re very impressed with the vehicle performance, fit out, comfort and durability.
The only thing we would recommend is extra time to do the stretch we did. You need more time in each place to limit driving time and the need to pack up/set up almost every day.

We recently had the pleasure of booking a 2-week trip around WA with Defender Adventure, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience! Luke, the owner, was amazing throughout the entire process.
From booking to planning and communications before the trip and while using the vehicle, Luke’s expertise and passion for great customer service and experience were obvious.
He gave us great recommendations about our trip and they were all spot on! The vehicle itself was phenomenal. We had the Isuzu double cab with a rooftop tent, and it was perfect for our trip.
We shared the vehicle with two other friends, making a total of four people in the car. While this worked well, in hindsight, we will definitely hire two separate vehicles next time.

The 4WD itself was well equipped, with everything we needed, quite some people were impressed about our setup 🙂

Best 4×4 camping experience!! We went for 3 weeks with two boys aged 4 and 6 from Perth to Broome and we had an unforgettable time thanks to Luke and his 4wd.
The 4wd is extremely well equipped and well thought out, everything you need is in the vehicle. It’s important to leave with a free mind on this type of trip. Luke was very available and gave good advice in organizing our trip.

10/10 experience with Defender adventure! My wife and I rented a 4WD pickup truck from Perth and we drove all the way to Exmouth.
The vehicle itself was amazing, fully equipped and allowed us to reach the most inaccessible places along our trip like the Ningaloo reef, Francois Peron and cape ranges National parks.
Customer service was also fantastic, Luke helped us in every aspect of our journey: he suggested camps and spots along our itinerary, he provided us with extra equipment (SUP, Shower, etc), and he even offered us to have groceries delivered and loaded onto the car prior to departure.
Overall we cannot think of anything that could have been better and we highly recommend Defender Adventure to anyone who wants to experience WA in a truly adventurous way!

We went for a 2 week trip up to Shark Bay, Ningaloo, Cape Range national park and Exmouth and had a really awesome time. The Ute was set up nicely with plenty of space for three of us, all our fishing, kitesurfing and snorkelling gear.
There was lots of space for food and drinks, the fridge was perfect, and the battery for it worked well (lasted us 2 days easily before needing power from solar or engine). We used two roof top tents which were very comfy and made setting up super easy.
We managed to get out to some spectacular places thanks to this 4×4. Luke’s service was awesome and gave us the flexibility we needed in hiring a 4×4 for exploring WA and getting to some remote stunning kiting spots. Would definitely recommend 🙂

We needed a good and reliable car at short notice with which we could drive the Gibb River Road. From the first contact to the return, everything went great and without any problems.
We had an absolutely great time and drove 10282km in the 6 weeks with our “rocky sand”. No matter if river crossings, stony and sandy tracks, highway or gravel roads, the ISUZU D-max was just great.
The big upright fridge, the pull-out drawers and the large storage space were perfect for our family of four. The roof tents were comfortable and spacious and we saved a lot of time by not having to put up a ground tent. Thank you Luke for your confidence, we highly recommend you and look forward to our next trip.

The vehicle we hired from Luke at Defender Adventure was perfect for our road trip. It had all the latest safety features for highway driving such as adaptive cruise control and the 4WD capacity for us to some of the most incredible spots in WA!

To rent a car from Defender Adventure is the best way to travel Western Australia! The D-Max 4×4 rooftop tent have everything you need with a perfect set up!
The contact with the owner of Defender Adventure was super fast and easy and Luke made everything possible.
The price is really affordable compared to rent a car and take a hotel and with these D-Max you can get into the NationalParks. We will come back for sure! Then the third time! 😀

We were planning a 2 week trip from Perth up to Coral Bay and surrounding areas, it took a while to find a camper hire company that would allow us to do the 4WDing that we wanted to do.
Once we found Luke and the Defender team it was a fantastic experience. The vehicles are impossible to fault. We were travelling with experienced campers / 4WD drivers and they were seriously impressed with our set up.
Luke is great to deal with, always happy to help, goes the extra mile and really cares about your experience.
Cannot recommend it highly enough, and for a family that doesn’t camp often it was a great introduction to what is possible.

Wow!! What a top notch adventure we were able to have over in WA hiring this dual rooftop 4WD from Luke. We were able to access places that only a 4 WD could take us to and see amazing scenery and marine life beyond my imagination.
The vehicle itself was super comfortable with four adults travelling together. Spacious for us with longer legs both front and back. The vehicle setup is super well thought through with easy access to pantry , utensils, kitchen setup and accessories.
Heaps of space for our food and drinks. No trouble with the upright fridge which kept everything in place and easy to find. The luggage space allowed us to store two cabin sized suitcases, two large backpacks and two soft large bags.
Also in this space we had a table, four chairs,solar setup ( if needed)and step stools. The rooftops were a two minute setup, climb in and jump into to bed. No fussing. Comfortable too. Luke has thought of everything!!
Great,easy and clear communication from the day we inquired to the day we dropped off the vehicle. Luke was quick to respond and very flexible for our arrangements. We had checked out other options which were cheaper but so glad we paid the bit extra for the quality and ease of Luke’s setup. Would highly recommend Luke’s vehicles if your ready for an amazing adventure to get to places that a 2wheel drive can’t get you! from Defender Adventure

We had the best time in our D-Max on our road trip from Perth to Exmouth. It had everything we could possibly need with a well equipped kitchen, comfy rooftop tent, bedding and chairs.
Luke was great at communicating with us and organised an inspection before our trip so we knew what we’d need to get ahead of time. Highly recommend for your next adventure!

We booked the car for a trip from Darwin to Perth.
Luc was great. He sent us a list of things to see on the way. He was contactable before, during and after the trip. It was really great to be able to count on him if we needed anything.
We picked up the car in Darwin and the person there gave us a great explanation of everything we needed to know.
It was a great trip. The car had everything you needed, nothing was missing. The chairs were super comfortable, the shower was great, there was plenty of space to store your things, everything you needed for cooking was well thought out.
The tent is super comfortable and spacious. Sincerely we slept super well, 17 nights spent on the roof of this car and we were fresh every morning sincerely impressed.
There are lots of windows that you can open or leave closed, waking up to the sunrise with the animals around, it’s just fantastic.
We also had episodes of rain and strong winds in Perth and no worries with the tent, which was sturdy and waterproof. It was our home the whole time and we loved it.
Everything was perfect. Many thanks again to Luc for preparing the car so well and thinking of the well-being of those who rented it, and also for your kindness and availability.
We’re planning another trip, and for sure it will be with Luc 🙂
